Derm Strategy is the creation of board certified dermatologist, Dr. Katie Beleznay, and digital marketing veteran, Ben Pickering.

Dr. Katie Beleznay

Dr. Beleznay is a globally recognized leader in dermatology, international speaker, trainer and author. She is board certified in both Canada and the United States and currently practices at Humphrey & Beleznay Cosmetic Dermatology in Vancouver, Canada. She is one of the top Canadian Dermatologists on social media (@drkatiebeleznay) reaching an engaged audience of more than 300k followers with her content receiving more than 100M+ views. She is frequently featured in press, including Globe and Mail, Allure, CBC, CTV, Elle, InStyle and more. Dr. Beleznay is active in research and is a treating investigator in pivotal clinical trials bringing the latest products and devices to market. She has published more than 50 peer-reviewed articles and textbook chapters and serves as a contributing editor for the journal, Dermatologic Surgery. She has worked with numerous companies on brand, marketing and digital strategies as well as product launches in the skincare and aesthetic space.

Ben Pickering

A veteran of Silicon Valley, Ben possesses more than 20 years experience in digital marketing, business development and strategy. He has helped brands ranging from Target to Crate & Barrel to the NBA to build and execute digital initiatives. Ben held a variety of strategic roles at Yahoo, served as CEO of a startup social media marketing company, and oversaw partnerships and content production for a global digital video platform. During his career he has built relationships with Google, Meta, TikTok, and Snapchat, and has worked with brands, content creators and influencers across all major social media platforms. More recently he has focused on digital strategy and influencer management in the beauty and skincare space.  Ben holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and an MBA from Stanford University.
